Con riferimento alla lettera che Allianz ci ha inviato recentemente, allego copia di quanto ricevuto dal segretario della “Confederazione delle associazioni degli ex dipendenti NATO”

                                                  AWC PREMIUM INCREASE
Following the recent announcement made by AWC that premiums to be paid by retired staff in relation with the basic medical coverage contract will be increased by 0.67% as from 1 January 2013, the Executive Committee of the Confederation of NATO Retired Civilian Staff Associations (CNRCSA) met with Ambassador Eaton, Assistant Secretary General for Executive Management.

Your representatives expressed their discontent with both the way the announcement was made and the justification provided by Executive Management. Retirees should have been informed by NATO only and not by AWC.

Besides, the increase has been decided in an arbitrary way without consultation of the competent supervisory body, in violation of relevant articles of the Civilian  Personnel Regulations, and is not supported by convincing financial arguments.
The ASG for Executive Management confirmed that “the increase will only be applied to those retirees under the bridging cover system (i.e.those not having reached the 65 years or the 25 years of service limit).

The AWC message was wrongly sent to all retirees” and the premium increase had to be rushed through at AWC’s specific request. He will provide the CNRCSA with additional information.
In the meanwhile, the CNRCSA will issue a Newsletter dealing with this and other issues of concern to retirees. It is also seeking legal advice on a possible complaint which could be filed against the premium increase.

In poche parole l’ Assistente del Segretario generale della NATO per l’executive management precisa che la comunicazione riguarda unicamente le persone aderenti al  “bridging cover system” (i membri che hanno lasciato l’organizzazione prima di 65 anni o senza avere 25 anni di anzianità di servizio ) e che è stata inviata per errore a tutti i pensionati.                        In conclusione si può dimenticare.

il 31 2012 ho partecipato con mia moglie ed altri ex pensionati Nato al cenone di fine anno organizzato presso l’ Auser Orsa, Centro Sociale di Castelnuovo Magra. E’ stata un’ottima cena con menù molto variato ma in sintonia con l’avvenimento e, come in  altre occasioni, tutto è ben riuscito  dalle signore volontarie e cuoche e ben  organizzato dalla signora Anna con Andrea che a dire il vero come al solito una buona bocca ma un caro amico. Un po di musica di un bravo solista ha scandito la mezzanotte e qualche ballo ha seguito l’evento.Una piacevole serata in amicizia che mi porta a ringraziare tutto il gruppo che ogni volta ci delizia di buoni pasti casalinghi, e non solo. il tutto accompagnato da un eccellente rosso,il classico spumante, le stelline luminescenti, dolce e caffè. in sostanza una gradevole serata per incontrare il nuovo anno.
